What stays in your browser
Practice scores and category progress are stored in your browser's local storage. Your light or dark theme choice is also stored locally. This information is not attached to an account and is not synchronized between devices.
You can remove this information at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings.
Optional camera self-audit
The camera feature runs only after browser permission is granted. The live preview and recording are handled inside the browser tab. A recording can be downloaded by you after a session; otherwise it is discarded when the relevant page or tab is closed or refreshed.
You can deny camera permission or revoke it later through your browser settings. Practice and exam-simulation modes remain available without enabling the camera.
Website analytics
CertGuru offers optional Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as visited pages, referrers, approximate region, browser, operating system, and device type. It also records limited in-product usage events, such as opening a study path or starting a practice mode. Both page-view measurement and usage events run only after you select “Allow analytics”.
If Google Analytics is configured, it also loads only after that choice. The configured measurement disables Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals and requests IP anonymisation.
CertGuru does not send names, email addresses, question answers, category scores, per-question outcomes, practice percentages, or completion time through its analytics events.
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. Hosting infrastructure also processes ordinary network requests needed to deliver the website and protect service reliability. CertGuru does not use this site to create personal learner profiles.
