Front ends and navigation model
SAP GUI / SAP Easy Access provides the classic transaction-oriented desktop. SAP NetWeaver Business Client for HTML is browser-based but is not automatically the same thing as the SAP Fiori launchpad. Fiori is role-oriented and exposes apps through catalogs/spaces/pages depending on configuration.
In SAP GUI, know the command field, menu bar, standard toolbar, application toolbar and status bar. The SAP Menu is system-oriented; the User Menu reflects assigned roles. Favorites are personal shortcuts: they never grant authorization.

High-yield workflow
Use System → Status whenever a question asks how to confirm where you are logged on. Enable Display technical names through the relevant settings when transaction codes need to appear beside menu entries. The Fiori App Finder can search available content from catalogs and menu sources, but app visibility still depends on assigned content and authorization.
